First off, do you call them yard or garage sales? Growing up, I referred to them as garage sales only because there weren't many houses around my neighborhood that didn't have garages. Typically, you set up tables inside your garage. But, here in Northern Virginia, everyone refers to them as yard sales. I've been introduced to the tarp...you just lay all of your belongings on tarps in your front yard. Kind of interesting...so, I thought I'd share some of the great deals I found last weekend.

Aren't these pots the coolest colors? They're so bright!

Apparently, these are tiny planting pots to start the growing process...
I don't really grow things, but these are too cute to not try!

A nice country decoration...I'm thinking a candle in the center.
I'm sure I can find a place for it since it only was a quarter!

This painting will fit perfectly on the turquoise wall in our bedroom.

This was probably one of the best deals...
the 3 shelves and 2 shutters were in a box for only $2!
Not sure if I'll use the shutters, but I'm thinking about staining the shelves.

This basket was only 50 cents...and little did I know...
the price tag indicated it was Pottery Barn.

Geez...I just love good deals! Can't wait for the weekend!

I love garage/ yard sales! A friend of mine used an old shutter painted white as a way to display pictures. Just an idea.

The Scoop

My Photo
a twenty-something living in Northern Virginia, but a city girl at heart. My husband is a youth pastor, and we absolutely LOVE our students! I love my husband, coca-cola, bargain shopping, Chick-fila and enjoy laughing A LOT! We are slowly working on home "projects," enjoying our BOXER, named Cooper, and getting ready to add another addition to the family!
